Who we are

AvroTheAgency is an independent website design business operated by a sole trader based in Hull, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), AvroTheAgency is the “data controller” of the personal data described in this policy.

What data we collect

We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run this website and respond to enquiries. Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:

  • Email enquiries: if you email us, we collect your email address, name (if provided), and the content of your message, so we can reply.
  • Call bookings: if you book a call using our “Book a Free 15-Min Call” button, you are taken to Cal.com’s own website to choose a time. Cal.com collects your name, email address, and chosen time slot on their platform to arrange and confirm the booking. Cal.com acts as an independent data controller for that information — see their privacy policy at cal.com/privacy.
  • Basic technical data: our hosting provider (Hostinger) and caching plugin may log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) automatically as part of running the site securely. We do not use this data for tracking or profiling.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other analytics or marketing tracking on this site. We do not run a newsletter or mailing list, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. The “Avi” assistant on this site runs entirely in your browser and does not send your questions anywhere or store them.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We use the data above only to respond to your enquiry, arrange a booked call, and operate the website securely. Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you have chosen to send us) and, where a booking leads to a contract for services, the performance of that contract.

How long we keep it

We keep email enquiries and booking-related correspondence only for as long as needed to respond to you or deliver a service you have booked, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up questions. We do not keep data indefinitely, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.

Cookies

This website itself only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookies Policy for full details.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it (right of access)
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data (right to rectification)
  • Ask us to delete your data (right to erasure), where applicable
  • Object to or restrict how we use your data
  • Ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email info@avrotheagency.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

Children’s data

This website and its services are directed at business owners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the services we offer or the tools we use change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
